Day 1: Acclimatisation

Today, you will experience a complete change of scenery! You will be welcomed in Marrakech and transferred to Imlil, the "Chamonix" of the Atlas Mountains. You will meet your guide and the muleteers who will take care of the equipment. Following a trail lined with walnut trees, you will leave Imlil and climb up to the Tizi M'Zik pass. The surrounding peaks are already reaching almost 4000m, creating a high mountain atmosphere around you! There will be a picnic break at the pass. After some ascents and descents, you will follow a superb balcony trail, enjoying the view of the valley and the villages. You will arrive at the Tamsoult sheepfolds (2250m) for an evening and acclimatisation night before ascending between 3,000 and 4,000 meters!

Day 2: _Tamsoult / Toubkal Base Camp
‍_Early departure from the gîte on a beautiful mule trail. Although the ascent is challenging, the trail is breathtaking, remarkably well-defined, and allows you to admire these stunningly beautiful landscapes. After countless switchbacks, you will reach the Aguelzim pass at almost 3,600m, offering an incredible panorama of the Toubkal summit. Then comes the reward: the trail leisurely meanders along the balcony, facing the "Lord of the Atlas." It provides several "dining rooms" for a break before reaching your base camp, the Neltner Refuge (3,207m).

Day 3: Toubkal Summit

An early start is always preferable to make the most of this exceptional day! The sunrise on the summit will be a "magical moment" in your mountaineering life! The mule trail from yesterday transforms into an "alpine" path. Although used daily by a few dozen hikers, it tends to wind and become arduous, challenging, and even impassable for those who cannot "read" the mountain. Your guide will find the best route, the one that won't "break" your legs. You will reach the summit smoothly! At this altitude, every effort must be well measured to achieve your dream. The arrival at the summit will be an unforgettable moment! A 360° view awaits you: Marrakech to the north, the Siroua and Sagho massifs to the south, the central and western Atlas Mountains to the east and west. You can enjoy the summit before descending calmly to the refuge.

Day 4: Neltner Refuge / Imlil

The descent via the "normal approach route" from the base camp is very beautiful. You won't be alone as a crowd ascends to conquer this summit! While descending, you can take your time to admire the peaks that mark this valley, all of them towering above 3,500 meters. Then, the trail meanders towards Around, the first village in the valley. Perched on a moraine, it overlooks all the "douars" of the Imlil region. The final descent leads to Imlil, where your trek comes to an end. In the afternoon, you will return to Marrakech.
