Day 1: Arrival in Ouarzazate
Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Free time in Ouarzazate, depending on your arrival time. Dinner at your own leisure.

‍Day 2: Crossing the Atlas Mountains & Sagho
Early departure to cross the Atlas Mountains and the Sagho Massif. The desert awaits! The landscapes are magnificent: rolling and often steep mountains of ochre-colored rocks, beautiful canyons where a few rare palm trees and acacias nestle. As you turn a corner, you discover the Draa Valley just before reaching the surprising town of Agdez and its immense palm grove. Then you head east, passing through N'Kob with its beautiful kasbahs, and finally reach Tazzarine where you reunite with the camel team.

‍Day 3: Isk-N-Brahim Dunes
With your bivouac and equipment loaded on the camels, you leave the camp to venture into the vast expanses and explore the hidden corners of the desert. It is not uncommon to find beautiful fossils in these plains or even some trilobite "quarries" at the foot of the mountains. You cross small mountains through the Ouaouglouten pass and reach the Isk-N-Brahim dunes at the base of the promontory with the same name.

‍Day 4: Foum Tizza Dunes
You descend towards the "plain" of Tizi Izelguène with its fossil vein. You reach the small rocky outcrops at the foot of Djebel Amrharfi, and through the Foum Tizza pass, you discover one of the first small Saharan Ergs (sand dune fields). This initial formation of dunes is nestled between rocky cliffs. The combination of rocks and sand always creates a palette of colors that the morning and evening lights play with.

‍Day 5: Taghbalt Canyon
You ascend to a vast plateau through a notch in the cliffs, offering a commanding view of the small Erg of Foum Tizza. You cross this plateau along small trails carved by shepherds and their camels. Then you descend into the Taghbalt River Canyon, which has been carved over time by regular floods that drain the vast desert plains you crossed yesterday. The landscape changes dramatically, with smaller reliefs that make the scenery more "welcoming." You pass through small oases and tiny typical villages, discovering the sedentary life of the inhabitants in these palm groves.

‍Day 6: Takcha Village
You descend along the Taghbalt River and its cultivated areas surrounded by sand. Rural exodus and drought make the task of sand removal increasingly difficult, as there is a shortage of labor for these exhausting works. The gardens are treasures; as soon as water is available, everything grows there, from sun-ripened vegetables to fruits, under the watchful gaze of date palm trees swaying tirelessly in the desert winds. Henna cultivation is common in this area. Henna is highly prized in Morocco and serves as a source of income at the weekly souks in Tazzarine or N'Kob. The bivouac is set up in a secluded spot upstream of the canyon, just a few steps away from the village of Takcha.

‍Day 7: Amjerane / Ouarzazate
After a final breakfast under the first rays of the sun, you pack up your nomadic bivouac for the last time. A short one-hour walk through the small mountains of Bou n'Hass brings you to the village of Amjerane and its vast sand dunes. It feels like a village at the edge of the world! You reunite with your vehicles to drive back to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, passing through the Draa Valley and crossing the Sagho Massif.
